My Person

Faced with the ultimate question,

If I were stranded,

All alone,

What would I bring

To make me feel at home?

The answer is difficult,

Not an easy task,

What would I do,

To make the time pass?

I would need just one thing,

That is all I ask.

Give me the person,

Who never fails to make me laugh.

Give me my best friend,

My other half.

They say you go mad

All alone,

But we're already crazy,

So that problem is solved.

We would pass the time

With raps and rhymes.

We would dance and sing,

And do all types of things.

I chose her because

She is the one I call when I'm in a rut,

And she makes me laugh so hard,

I get a sore gut.

She inspires me to be my best me,

And loves life unconditionally.

They say friends come and go,

But she is my person,

Together we will continue to grow.

Best friends forever,

This fact I know.
