My Personal Pride

It may not be seen

But it sure is heard

Everyday

When temptation is all around

“It will be fun” he says

If I give in

He tells the whole world

He is “the man”

I am left “the whore”

He feels empowered

I feel used

No

Every time I say no I stay true to myself

I am nothing

Nothing without my self respect
