"To My Physician"

Dedicated to my pain management physician

Three years ago,

You became my physician.

At first, I was skeptical,

Until your plans came to fruition.

I was bedridden and chairbound

For four long years.

Until your excellent treatments

Made it possible to pursue careers.

Because of you,

I have real quality of life.

Because of your treatment successes,

My son has a mother and my husband has his wife.

You have saved my very life

More than you realize.

Because of you,

I am grateful to be alive.
