My Poem

She is beautiful, She is smart, She has all the potential in the world And has from the start She has a warming smile No one could forget With a touch so soft Knowing her...you would not regret You would never know How she feels inside The pain that will never fade Every night that she cried She would never tell you what's wrong What sinks in her heart The memories that she carries The ones that rip her apart He said he wanted her He captured her love That he would be there forever Then it started with a shove He yelled really loud And would spit in her face He would hold up against walls With her nose forced in his pillowcase She yelled, she screamed, cried for him to stop He looked at her as empty as a hole As if she had meant nothing to him He had no soul When his hand struck her You could not always see the marks he left She hid them well Her pride he bereft No one knew her little secret She never wanted to sound like she complained She thought she deserved it At least that's what he ingrained So this girl goes on with life She acts as if everything is okay Does not talk about her insides And still has so much to say She goes on smiling Without knowing what will happen now What will happen next She will only allow
