My Power

My culture is my

Power.

My feet dance

To humming of

Drums.

Beats and Booms bouce

Family and friends

In circular harmony.

Pain and worry dissipating

In

One

Breath

With heavy burning sage

A rich blue and black

Woven protector

Lets me sleep in peace

Catching that dark fire

That reaches for me at night.

There is strength

In knowing who I am

Who I was

To show me who

I want to be.

My culture

Is

My

Power.
