My Power

I see you coming, full of hate and fire. Causing me pain is your only desire. I’ve never said a work, never done a thing. Still I stand and wait for the hurt you bring. Breathe in. Breathe out. Always out for vengeance, You attacked my spirit, my soul. Seeing me destroyed, Was your only goal. Breathe in. Breathe out. I gave you so much power, To avoid the pain and strife. What I didn’t realize, Was that you controlled my life. Breathe in. Breathe out. I’m leaving you behind, Ready to make my own way. I’m taking my power back. It all starts today.
