My Prayer

I need you my father

when i rise, prepare my heart for your path today

as i walk, hold my hand so i don't stumble

shake me, when i fool myself that i can march on my own

forgive me, when i cry out in remorse

steady me, when the world throws me off balance

comfort me, when i lay to sleep and my heart is weary
