My Promise

I cry, I beg, I plead, I pray

that one day my seizures will go away

Just when I think the storm has passed

It sneaks back up on me oh so fast

with no warning at all

as my mother watches me fall

The feeling of despair

thinking this is just not fair

my emotions are so deep

these seizures I know I will beat

I try to understand why God's plan

was to put me in my mother's hand's

I guess he knew I'd be her biggest fan

I will never lose sight of hope

as each day I learn how to cope

Never knowing when the next storm will hit

Next to my mother is where I will always sit

My promise to my mother is this

No matter how hard the road we travel

or how scary it may seem

we will always be on the same team

I will stand by you forever

And never give up on myself.....

                NEVER!!!
