My Purpose is for YOU
My heart reached out to you once, though yours did not
It reached again and again didn't get what it sought.
You think I will only bring captivity,
But that is far off, if only you could see.
But not to worry I'll still love you
I'll wait till your refusals are through.
I will wait even when your kind words are few,
I'll wait if your eyes are venemous too.
When you start to feel alone
and your insecurities have grown
Don't worry yourself, I'm here.
I promise, there is nothing to fear.
So hate me,
It won't change me.
Turn away and don't accept,
Take too much I'll cover the debt.
Wherever you go,
I will undoubtedly follow.
My love will hold out past tomorrow.
So when your running is over
And your heart moves closer
I'll take you in,
Just let the love in.
Even if you don't have enough to share,
Mine is enough, I swear.
If you fall
you won't have long to call.
So run for now, I'll be here.
When you feel far off, I'll be near.
Do as you please, I respect that.
I'll wait for you to come back.
And then you'll see
My purpose is to help you reach Eternity.
