My Raft

I'm drowning

My face is barely above the surface

all around me, the ones I love are gone

everything I feel is kept inside

festering and destroying  my life

sickness and desease

drugs and deceit

but then, like magick!

the words begin to flow

the air returns

little by little, the water subsides

I've found my outlet

I've found my raft.
