My Raised by Poem

Mackenzie

For the first 11 years i was raised by a

Heel stepping, phone ringing, overbearing with love, racist

“ you’ll be so pretty with blue eyes”

The butler was cooking, the made was singing

Kind of god momma.

For two years I was raised by a

God praising, christain singing

“Get up it’s sunday chy’le”

Hip shaking, always cooking, stored potato chips in the freezer, volunteering

Type of grandma

Off and on cause he was in another state

I was raised by a

Always working, drive 6 hours to see his baby, shoe buying,

“ come on bighead 1,1,2,2”

Going fishing, pitbull loving

Sort of dad

I was raised by a

I'm retiring but still gonna work, advice given,be happy,

 let's go shopping,

don't marry a man like mines, get your tubes tied

Type of aunt

I was raised by a

Hardworking, not always sane

“ my house better be clean by the time i get home”

Lil jon blasting, karaoke singing,

Trying hard to be a good one

Type of mom

I was raised by

Basketball playing, don't tell no one you have this,

Gang related

“ imma teach you how to shoot”

Drugs in my hand

Almost rapped me

Worrisome of a cousin
