My Reason
You're as tough as nails but soft like silk.
you move through the wind gracefully, as if you are wind.
in my darkest hour, I've dreamt to be nothing like you.
yet you're my inspiration and motivation to be somebody
a person you couldn't be.
My reason has had a hard time digging and digging
out of a pit full quicksand.
There was no one cheering for you but, I am yet
you still decide to panic, drowning into quicksand.
you are my reason, My reason to rise above my struggles.
my reason to be a better person than you.
my reason to lean on to the people that are cheering for me and
rise out of the quicksand, unlike you who drowned.
in your brightest hour, you've dreamt for me to be better than you,
you showed me what not to do.
I thank you for that you.
didn't want me to cheer you on and help you get out of that quicksand.
you wanted me to move on and be better.
my reason lost that chance the moment they fell into the pit of quicksand.
