My Reason, Why?

My Reason Why?

In life there are struggles

And when the storm hits there is the question, why?

Why did she leave, why are you here,

And why are there so many deaths in the city?

My reason, why? is simply this

Live, love and cry

Life is a melody you write

A lyric you sing and a smile in the air

My Reason, why?

Is to be free from thoughtless words people say

A canvas that you paint,

To breathe art, and dance in life

My reason, why?

Is because I’m me

I scream, dance, bleed, and doubt

But never believe in the defeat

My reason why I write is because my pen has power

I’ve been through pain, suffering and loss

That’s my reason, why I fight and love

Art is me, what’s your reason why?
