My Reasons

This big smile,

I have it to hide my emotional injuries.

This wisdom in my conscience,

I have it because I refuse to follow the crowd of ignorance.

This insane work ethic,

I have it because success is the only option I have in order to survive,

This sarcastic attitude,

I only use it when I receive a negative comment,

Or to make the ignorant feel idiotic by compelling them to hear a smart mouth.

This perseverance,

I have it because I’ve only experienced failure when I lacked it.

There’s a reason for everything right?

I have a reason for all of my characteristics.

These reasons have made me wise.

These reasons have made me strong.

These reasons have made me a force to be reckon with.

Remember, an honest reason has more respect

Than a pitiful excuse.
