My Response to the Breakup

"I wanted to kiss you" He said

"Like the ocean kisses the shore,

You can love someone so much—

However, you can't love people

As much as you miss them.

After we drifted, grew apart, separated

I found you in every crevice of my room.

Wondering how a girl like you,

Organized, responsible, and coordinate,

Can lose that many bobby pins."

Have you heard something you've never expected?

Through the heartbreak and pain, it rips you apart.

That is how I feel in this moment.

However, it is my turn.

My unspoken words, revealed here.

I am no longer your future,

Screaming and yelling, "I don't deserve you!"

I'm a brief memory of your past.

Why did I let you leave?

My God, why have you forsaken me?

I can't fathom how much I miss him.

Through the relationship, he taught me one thing.

You can love someone so much—

However, you can't love people

As much as you miss them.
