My resting place.

I was winning. Every victory I have praises my name. I was alone in my reign but I felt I'm invincible! I never needed anyone. They were saying my name! In their eyes I was a hero..An inevitable one. But all of a sudden my legs weaken. I stumbled on the ground where I was standing firmly. My strength left me. Darkness blindfolded my very eyes. I tried to stand but I couldn't. I screamed. I could hear them. I could hear all their praises turning into curse. Laughing at me..mocking me.. I called for help.. I shouted..I was losing my voice.. But no one came to rescue me.. That's when my thoughts came to me.. I was greedy.. selfish.. I thought I could do everything on my own.. The darkness was slowly engulfing me.. Leading me to my final breath. Then light burst out from the darkness. That's when I felt something. A warm air was slowly soothing in my skin. I could feel it. It's hugging me.. I heard his Voice. "My son." Tears flowed down from my eyes. "Is it You?". I asked. "My son. I know you're tired. Come rest in me."
