My Road
I try every day to do what is right,
But every time I try I feel like I have to fight.
While I sit here, I’m trying to find the light.
What is going on . . . I swear I don’t bite.
What is right, what is wrong,
I’m trying to find out while I’m writing along.
My whole life, I thought I was lied to.
And who knows, what if I had it all wrong.
I have no hate for anything that has happened,
The whole world, I thought was hating,
But all that hate was coming from Satan.
I want to love everyone.
You know what, its already done.
Know matter your color, no matter your belief,
I don’t care if you don’t eat beef.
But, I thought what was right is independent of belief
How will I know if I don’t follow a commander and chief.
If I don’t have a leader to tell me,
Somewhere I can pay my fee.
But how will I ever figure out.
I always seem to be on the same route.
I feel I am running out of time,
While I am thinking up all this stuff in a rhyme.
We are losing time and it’s getting so hard.
It even feels like I might be scared.
While I am questioning everything that I’ve got,
And every little thing that I was taught.
I am just trying to see the bigger picture,
We are altogether, we are all just one big mixture.
How will I know if I am on the right road.
It is so hard trying to decipher this code.
All I know is what seems good to me.
Loving everyone, that seems to be the key.
All the pain that I thought I was feeling
But now, I think I am finally healing.
Now I’m getting out of bed every morning
And I’m no longer building up the pain, I am no longer storing.
Thank you everyone that has helped me through this,
I love everyone, especially you sis
