My Role Model

His real name is James Sickler, but everybody calls him Jimmy

He’s got dark black hair and is really easy to talk to

He loves to drink diet coke even though it’s bad for you

He sometimes wears glasses, but mainly contacts

He has the most kindest and biggest heart of anyone that I’ve had the privilege to know

He’s the number one person that I trust

He’s my basketball coach

He always sees the best qualities in people

He saw in me that, I was a determined hard worker who had the potential to lead

He has  helped me through some tough times

I really appreciate him

I had this really bad day because I just found out that I failed my retake math test

He told me, “to think about the positives of myself because I have so many”

He was right

In life you stumble and fall, the important thing is to get back up

He has always encourage and recognized my hard work

When I got knocked down in life or on the court I thought of him and got back up

I’ve played basketball since fourth grade

When he first started to coach me, he ignited a passion in me that I never knew till now

He’s the reason why I practice basketball an hour everyday in the gym during lunch

He inspired me to get better

I also did it because of my passion for basketball

I also went to basketball camp for three years

He built up my confidence with dribbling a basketball and with talking to people

Although, I still don’t like walking up to a new person and talking to them

He’s like a second dad

Thank you
