My Roots
Like the Tree of Life my roots reach deep in the ground.
I am from the apple that fell from the tree,
I landed softly o the shining emeralds of the isle.
From singing and playing, even if things don’t go well.
I am from my mother’s lullabies.
Even to this day, the warm soft wool of friendly sheep lulls me to sleep.
Like the Tree of Life my roots reach deep in the ground.
I am from where the Black Eagle flies over a plain of white.
I am forever with Mein Gott mind, body and soul.
Beethoven’s fifth symphony inspires me.
Any obstacle that stands in my way, I can’t be swept away.
My Blitzkrieg will blow you away.
Like the Tree of Life my roots reach deep in the ground.
I am from where the White Cross stands proudly on the red field.
To the Devil or enemies I will never yield.
I have Viking pride that shall never die,
Ice giants come my way. Come on let’s play.
God’s Hammer in my hand I’ll nail you down,
Nail you down back to your place.
Like the Tree of life my roots reach deep in the ground.
My roots for all time will never fade away.
You try swaying me away, you try to guilt my roots away.
Bad memories like a nightmare, I shall never surrender,
These nightmares and these pleasant dreams they are a vital part of me.
They make up the roots that feeds the Tree,
Chop’em down and that’s the end of me.
On days when a plague of amnesia spreads, I am immune to the disease.
I will never forget how I came to be, my ancestors live inside of me.
I know who I am and where I come from, because I am connected to my roots.
