My Roots
My Roots
I am from Amish Country Ohio, and Race City North Carolina.
I am from moving homes and going to new places.
I am from a twin always being by my side, until now, and a little brother to inspire me to be a better me every day.
I am from family time, even after that family was broken.
I am from cooking with momma after a long day at school.
I am from caring for others with the best example of a loving christian that there is.
I am from a God breathed service that made me the me people know today.
I am from all things that have breath.
I am from 7 different schools.
I am from playing outside with my cousins and honorary cousin Seth during any school breaks.
I am from chewy chocolate chip cookies and pepperoni pizza rolls.
I am from cheesy potatoes and hot turkey sandwiches.
I am from long phone calls and late nights.
I am from persevering parents who taught me to do what is needed of me and then to try to surpass that expectation in everything I do.
I am from a hard working father who would do whatever it took to made sure his kids were provided for.
I am from a musical father who taught me to love and have a passion for the arts, specifically band.
I am from a gracious mother who showed me what is truly worthwhile in life, and what is lovely.
I am from a mother who suffered and showed me how to be strong because of it, because she needed me to be.
I am from a youth group that made me realize that size isn’t a factor when God meets you.
I am from a church that forever changed my life, and a body of christ that will forever be a part of my story.
I am from depression that was overcome through the Holy Spirit within me.
I am from my precious savior who chose me and called me and pulled me out of where I was because He had something better for me; I am because He is.
I am from Lee University because God wants to use me to work to further the kingdom of God and lead souls to the cross by showing them Christ's love and God's goodness.
I am from relationships that will believe in me when I can’t believe in myself.
