My Rose Lou

I compare thy love to a rose,

its finest smell

too great for my nose

thy could take me to hell.

With thee I could even end up in heaven.

Thou art my leader.

Thyself takes me where I've never before been.

With you, here present in my heart, I will never need a heater.

My home has space for two.

What is mine can be for you

my bed even too.

Just for my beautiful Lou.

So I ask: Will you marry this poor man?

Will thee give me thou's hand?
