My Sanctuary

While you were laughing at my

Choice of words I was secretly

Dishing you in a poem

You will never read.

Why?

Its's Simple.

My sanctuary lies in my words

I can make my words express

The storm of emotions in me

That the status quo of high schoo society

Won't let me escape out of my cage.

Poetry is my sancutary where I can

Hide my real emotions while my

Fake smiles, Fake laughs, and multiple

Masks take over telling you something else.

You call me a freak, I call my self a realist,

a.k.a. a poet.

See my sancutary alows me to see

Things that you don't

I see the unspoken truthes behind

Society and what Society really is.

My sancutary allows me to see the

Conformity and the Corruption of

A high school status quo

While you are out conforming I'm

Here writing in a poem about how

I-unlike you-refuse to conform because

The truth is too uncomfortable.

My sanctuary is my poetry

My life,

My passion,

It has opened my eyes to all of these things

Listed above,

Has allowed me to see

Good and Bad

And has allowed me to stay me;

Thank You my beautiful,

Wonderful,

Sanctuary
