My Savior
I run and I scream,
but it is all around me.
The darkness,
the loneliness,
I can never get away.
It is always the same.
Does it even matter, what I even have to say?
Over looked and always judged.
Music is my only drug.
When everything else falls silence, Music is the only defiance.
The music is louder, like a storm with thunder.
The bass hits me, then the lyrics set me free.
While their words cut deeper, Music is my healer.
Without the harmony of their voice,
I would have no choice.
Like many other teens, to feel no need,
to try and fit into a twisted cruel world.
Music gives me hope,
It the only right way I can cope.
No more drugs,
or any cuts with blood.
Just the sweet melody,
always playing in my head.
