My Savior
Something overtook me and I did not know what to say.
I struggled with my emotions and was tired of each day.
Abuse in my mind and torment in my soul,
The need to get rid of it so suddenly took hold.
I could find nothing healthy and I turned to terrible things.
Until I realized the depth of the lyrics I love to sing.
My hand quickly hurried to the pen and the paper.
I knew it would eventually become my Savior.
It was so easily done
And my mind I had won.
Words turned into art,
Healed and happy was my heart.
