My Savior

Poetry means the world to me.

Poetry saved me,

It carried me from my sea of sadness,

It gave me a purpose.

I owe poetry my life,

And I owe it my future.

Poetry lets me express,

What I can't form in words.

It's my light at the end of the tunnel,

My starry night sky,

My happily ever after,

My once in a lifetime.

Poetry is my savior,

Poetry means the world to me,

Because it saved me from the bad,

And because it never once gave up on me.
