My scaly friend

I rose and ate and sat around

Asking myself if my head was sound

Telling myself to take the leap

That there were promises to keep

I faced the fear that filled my head

Although I was full of dread

The day had come the time was here

I finally must face this fear

My hand was up the skin was bare

I touched the creature with no hair

Dragon skin and beady eyes

This really felt like my demise

But the deed was done, I had my fun

My fear was overcome, and my life was done.
