My Second Home

Flags, rifles, sabers, and dance

The teams who have almost entirely mastered them all

Oh, that’ll put anyone in a trance

It isn’t just the flags waving so perfectly through the air together,

Or the slap of the rifle strap against the body of the rifle

It is the comradery built in the team that tethers

Winning as a team is fun

But it’s the performance that matters

The ones that make our hearts run

First place or last

Everyone has put their absolute all in

And the end of the season always approaches too fast

When the ending comes

And there’s another year to wait

My heart weighs tons

Confidence, patience, skill, and glee

All given in memories past

Always treasured by me

So thank you to Odin,

Odin Winter Guard

For giving me a place to fit in

For giving me inspiration to win

For giving me a heart that is always ready to spin

And for taking me in
