My Secret Notebook

This notebook is my canvas

where i'll great my fleeting thoughts

'cause talking to people my age is like talking to robots.

We're addicted to the updates of all the social queens

and love following the trends

printed on every magazine.

feelings now make us vulnerable

and opinions aren't given crap

so now all meaningful sentences conytain some sort of gap.

Then we hide behind emojis and candid pictures that we take,

becuase we can't let anybody know

our mishaps and mistakes.

We can't show people who we truly are because were afraid of what they'll say

so we'd rather keep that to ourselves and store it all away.

maybe that's why there is music

to let it out for just a while

to let it catch it's finale breath before we cage it in denile.

"Are you ok?" is a very common phrase

we all have used before

but we've made it human nature to lie about our wars.

These wars that are fought inside our head

that keep us up at night

the ones that our closest seem to realize

but never help to fight.
