my self

nothing changes

simply due to

the lack of other things

be it just me

alone

on an island

or in an office cubicle

or in my mind

or rather

a multitude of others

surrounding me

on an island

or in an office cubicle

or in my mind

i only need one thing

and darling

i'm sorry

but the answer is not

you

it's

my self

i need

Me

i need

my Sanity

i need

my Voice

my Reason

my Brain

my beautiful

confidence

because

i don't need

anything

or anyone

to live

i lived

i have lived

i live

i will live

and i am living

on the island

of my own creation

in my mind

made in that

office cubicle

we find ourselves

hating

at 5 o'clock

on a Friday

or

that

school desk

we find ourselves

hating

at 3 o'clock

on a Friday

i

am living

i still

will

live
