My Shadow
He is my one childhood friend.
Side by side playing and talking,
Short legs and is rather shocking,
Hoping that it will never end.
He's currently "Sweet Sixteen" now.
Sporting two large fatty tumors,
Last summer involved bad rumors.
Looking at him he's pure as gold.
With a glad face while in the park
He doesn't have long on this Earth.
Lifespan is thirteen from birth
I can't live without Shadow's spark.
Since he's one I can't live without,
I won't be alive much longer.
I know I have to be stronger
Because that's what life's all about.
Four legs and a furry black face
There's no moment I would erase.
