To My Significant Other
I get the sudden urge to call you,
but I'm afraid I have no choice;
I must wait to melt at the sound of
your beautiful, angelic voice.
I long to imitate your smile,
I dream about it every night.
If only I could see those gleaming pearly whites.
I strive to swim in your eyes forever;
I promise not to drown,
just promise me the water will never turn mud brown.
I want to hold you, kiss you, meet you;
please tell me where you are.
I've only seen you in my dreams
and I pray we don't stand far.
This love I feel for you, it must be true,
I have never felt so sure.
Come find me for I have searched for you;
Prove to me this love is pure.
