My Silence

"I love you, please don't go"

Often words we leave unspoken

Those words I wish I had said that day

And maybe things could be different

You taught me many things, but most of all

It takes one slip, one cut, one break

Till something is gone forever

Those many things I wish I had said

If only I could go back in time and tell you

How beautiful of a body you had

How you meant so much to me

But now I type this on a page and

Hope that you can see them somehow

For it is too late for those words
