My Silent Affliction
It's just too bad that we can't go back and change the past.
So much went left unsaid,
so much I wish I would've done.
But, all the memories last
and they're as clear as glass,
Yet I can't get ahead
cause everything seems to go wrong.
My vision is blurred,
dreams differed,
Yet I question everything in sight.
If only I would've made better decisions back then
and broke the trend,
maybe everything would be alright...
For now I smile,
For now I laugh,
Trying not to operate outta wrath;
cause It's nobody's fault but mine
and acknowledgement only goes so far,
so let me slow down before I crash...
Actions speak louder than words,
and although my emotions are stirred,
this time around I only want my voice to be heard.
