My Silhouette is My Friend

Across the wall dances my shadow... never once letting my dreams go. My spirits stay strong, even though some don’t understand what I do I just want to fade in a place where I know I belong a place so soft that when I breathe, the delicate steam rolls off my tongue. So delicate that I feel at home, at ease; My silhouette is a D A N C E R the kind that doesn’t need permission to move the way I want, the kind that sees beauty in my quirky movement. I am tired: so tired of trying to please you, I dance for me NOT you; Dance is something so bright and glorious I get lost in a sea of happiness, happiness that translates into freedom. I want freedom for more than my soul, I want it for my silhouette too.
