My Skin My Fear
New Dreams
Scared of my skin
Scared of what’s within
Changing my looks
Downgrading my worth
Looks in Mirrors hurt
Tears tell stories
Long and dearly sorrow
God sought out
Light was I to follow
Little ole me scared to see
Blackness is no fear
Greatness within every soul
Change my looks no longer
Blackness my strength
Blackness my superior
Blackness my face
Blackness not just a race
Blackness does not fear
And neither do I
