My Smile

I smile through fear and laughter.

Despite all rejection,

I smile with no fear.

To not smile is to say,

I'm a coward filled with weakness;

with dishonor and dismay.

I do not like to play the social game,

That in which I am forced to be ashamed.

I am above the game,

Why not start a lovely day with a smile?

All those around us look to see who is weak,

do not give up.

A smile is the only way to prove you are strong.

That is why I smile every day...
