My Soldier

You're a thousand miles away from me, I cant take it , I need you closer to me. I need you by my side. I want to gaze into your big brown eyes, hold your hand, and kiss your gentle lips. However, you don't belong to me, you belong to the U.S Army and they need you...their mission comes first. But, one thing I do have is your heart, the heart of a soldier. Brave, confident, and strong is the type of man you are. I always think to myself you're sweet, you're rugged and lastly you're my soldier. I look forward to the day you'll be arriving at the airport, dressed in your army fatigues . I'll finally be able to say my hero is home.
