My Sonnet (Feelings #2)

With a grin, a flash of teeth, a look
I am pulled under your force
I can lose myself in you
Your eyes are my rapture.
Knees weakened, heart pumping
I peek at you, and smile
I feel heavy with expectation
Yet, light with joy.
A blink, a teardrop, rolling down.
Dark room, night fall
Sorrow ensnares me
With a sigh, a shiver
I lay in bed, wishing.

This poem was written in a letter to one of my children that due to some unfortunate circumstances cannot live at home with us. We miss him terribly.
