My Soul
Bittersweet
How people are
Judging me before they speak to me
Never giving me a chance to say something
My soul inside is not like my appearance
Stereotypes are hit to me
Making the judging of how I would be
Seeing my clothes, hair, and posture
Turn away without hearing my story
Believe that I am bad news
I leave with a bitter mouth
Hoping they realize what they did
Haven't they heard the statement
'Don't judge a book by its cover'
But oh my
I seemed to just have followed their steps
