My Spell

I've a Spell in my spell book that everyone's seen,

Which nobody looks at,

For everyone's mean.

They'll take one quick glance, and then go on to say:

"This one is so boring!

Let's turn over the page."

But if only they realized, if only they knew

The things that my Spell could,

For all of them, do!

For, my Spell is not like all the other spells here,

Which fake ev'ryone out,

Oh yes, trick them, I fear.

Yet, my Spell is real, and Its power is great.

So, why do Its glancers

Glance, and just hate?

Say, why do not all my great Spell chant and chime?

I'll tell you why not:

My Spell doesn't rhyme.
