My Spring

i am in love,

i am in love with  spring

so harsh sometimes

but also so soothing

you pull me in with soft winds that graze my small cheek

but soon the heat wave comes

the strong heat  wave comes and i am so weak that all i can do is stand in the midst of it and feel my soft skin burn.

though i still love you

i love your sweet smell that envelops me

it envelops me like the the smell of standing in a field of beautiful yellow primroses

so bright and unaware

I don't understand

I want to understand why no one understands

they don't understand how sweet you are under your harsh overtones

how you do not always burn me

you cool my aching sun scares

you hold me with a gentleness that could be described as more than loving

you are spring

a  spring that the unwilling stay away from and the strong stand near saying it is cold

i am not strong, yet i am willing

i am willing to stand near you and say i am hurt,

then a phenomenal thing happens

you cool your harsh sun

just for me.
