My Star

My twin sister, my dearest Mariah

Two minutes seemed to set the scene for our lives

You, by two, are my elder

And you are my muse

My other half, my dearest Mariah

Your presence makes the entire Earth kneel for a moment

And to lose a companion to you is familiar

Your grace is a light that attracts everyone

My first friend, my dearest Mariah

Thick as thieves has never come close to explaining our friendship

To say that you have been at my side would be to lie

You have been on my front lines

My twin sister, my dearest Mariah

Making you proud is the only thing I’ve ever wished for

You deserve the Earth and Moon on a pedestal

And I’d traverse the galaxy to get them for you
