My Stargazer

You chased stars,

I ran after trains

You threw yourself into dreams,

And I jumped in front of cars

But in those moments

When we sat by the tracks

And looked into the sky

Together,

I could feel my body

Floating just off the ground

Looking up,

Watching stars

Together.

...at least until

you joined them
