To My Stepdad #BECAUSEILOVEYOU
Because I love you,
I see there is more good than bad.
A father doesn't have to be biolgical
and he doesn't have to be married to your mother.
Because I love you,
I can be annoying, ridiculous, and almost never make any sense.
But I am loyal to you for as long as I live,
and nothing you do will change that.
Because I love you, I know that
You aren't perfect, but you care for me and want only the best for me.
You are always the first to call, and have always provided me with what I need.
A real father's love is tough but you would NEVER hurt me.
Because I love you,
I know I don't have to share your DNA to call you "dad",
Because let's face it, I'm more like you than anyone.
And that's something I can show pride in.
Because I love you,
I can be honest with you, and know I am safe with you.
No comicbook superhero compares to you,
Because I love you, I know what a real father is.
