My Storm

The rain on your face

Washing away the troubles so deep

As even the sky for you does weep

But your tears are all gone

Peace now sits deep inside

Your heart where strength resides

The grudges that have clung to you

Have now let go

Slipping in the rain

They wash away slow

Calm as the sea before the storm

You've faced it all before

The terrors of night

The flashes of light

Hold your power no more

Let the cool rain calm

The wind whip your hair

No longer can the world pull

You any which-where

The only heat in this broken world

Is the fire that burns in your broken soul

But from the ashes

A new person rises

The rain’s fire

A healed warrior

The eye of the storm

Is troubled no more

We live life for the relationships within it. What is life without love? Poetry, no matter how clumsily expressed is love.
