My Strength

It's been going on too long, This feeling that's much too strong, It overwhelms me, suffocates me Pulls me deeper like I'm drowning, I keep this smile on my face although my heart is frowning. Help me, will I learn from my mistakes? But I'm still here, that means there's gonna be brighter days. Although the devil tries to takes away my faith, My God hears me, and helps push away the pain. This struggle won't last forever, there is hope for me yet, Each day I'm a little bit wiser, stronger because He won't forget. I will not lose my joy, I will not expect defeat, I will choose faith however, and watch the devil crumble beneath. Thankfully, I've finally learned from my mistakes, And I'm still here, that means my brighter days await. Because He is my strength.
