My Strength

As I sit in a world, full of anger and hate

I can’t help but question, what makes America so “great”?

Is it our loud mouths, out of control?

Or is it or school system? I’m sure someone would know

Banning guns won’t kill violence

Although many would believe it makes sense

No, pure fear wouldn’t do us any good

Informing others lets us think it always could

We need God back in our lives

Maybe then we will stop using our words as knives

God is the reason I am here today

And because of His goodness, I can say

I can do all things through Christ

He is my strength, my friend, my life
