My Superhero

When you ask someone who their hero is

They’ll probably say Superman or someone like that

But not me. I don’t wanna be like that.

My hero is my mama, ‘cause she’s the best.

She ain’t anything like the rest

She’s always got my back no matter what

I know she’s the best ‘cause i feel it in my gut

My mama she’s the best damn woman on God’s green earth

I’ve known this since the day of my birth.

I mean she’s raised me up and hopes for the best

Every night before she lay down to rest

I tell her how I feel

Having a love like this for her never felt so real

The very best my mama really is
