My Superpower

Pencil to paper

Feels like pencil to world

The world through my eyes expressed under pen

As I write again and again, about the life I've lived.

Pencil to paper

When burden succumbs me

Or when I feel life's threat

Yet, I see positivity,

I write down the joy through life's misery,

And hopefully, cause them to smile,

Those people who've forgotten for a while,

How to do that action.

Pencil to paper

When my heart aches or I feel misunderstood

When the world becomes a cage of pointing fingers

Judging me, judging them

Written down is the emotion

Like seeing life through their eyes

Like seeing life through my eyes

Like seeing me

Pencil to paper

The chaos, I do find, written on my lines

But also the hope, that will change the world

Words not petty but powerful

Moments memorable,

A life worth living.

Pencil to paper

Poetry a mirror

Reflecting the world

The chaos, the beauty

The inspiration, the fear

All here

Pencil to paper

Poetry like glass

See through to the soul, the spirit, the mind

And climb to heights unimaginable

To world's unseen.

Pencil to paper

In spite of the darkness

Let light shine through

Through blue and grey skies.

I have the power to empower

My words are not worthless

Poetry is my song, Poetry is my superpower.
