My Survival Guide

If I were to live in solitude

I would need to have my book.

This is no ordinary book

for this book holds answers. 

Answers for the big questions,  

questions that nobody can answer,

because I live in solitude.

If I were to be all alone

I would need to have my book.

My book can teach me

things I should possess.

Posses some necessary survival skills,

skills I need to possess,

because I am all alone.

If I were to be left deserted

I would need to have my book.

My book can show me

things I have to see.

See how I should fight,

fight the fears that I see,

because I was left deserted.

Yet, I do not live in solitude.

I am not all alone.

I was not left deserted.

No questions that need answers.

No skills I must posses.

No fighting all I see.

Therefore I do not need my book.
